締める

＊fasten …　締める、留める。ベルトやジッパーなど、物理的なものを締め上げる時に使う。ルールには使えない。
→Please fasten your seatbelt.  
　シートベルトを着用しください。
→The dress fastens at the back.
　ドレスは後ろでファスナーを締める形だよ。

＊tighten …　ねじ、ベルト、ふたなどをしっかりと締めるイメージ。ルールにも使える。
→Can you tighten the screw?
　ネジを締めてくれる？
→I can’t tighten this anymore.
　これ以上締められないよ。
