達する

＊reach … 達する。数字や量に「達する」ときに使う。
→Japan’s cumulative total of COVID-19 cases reached 30 million.
　日本国内の感染者の累計が３０００万人に達した。
→Did we reach the limit?
　制限に達した？

手が届く

＊reach … 物理的に手などがが届く。また、人に連絡をするときにも使う。
→Can you reach the table?
　テーブルに（手などが）届く？
→I can’t reach it.
　届かないよ。

＊be/get (at …)　場所に到着するときに使う。
→What time will you be/get at the station?
　駅に何時に着く？
→It looks like we won’t be able to be/get there anytime soon.
　まだしばらく到着できなさそう。

到る

＊reach … 結論、合意、ゴールなどに達する。概念的なものに達するときに使える。
→Did you two reach a conclusion?
　あなたたちは結論に達したの？
→It seems like they reached a deal.
　合意に達したみたいだね。

＊end up … 結果〜となる。あまり良くない状態になっていることを指すことが多い。
→How did I end up here?
　どうしてこんなことになったんだろう？
→I somehow ended up in this job.
　なぜだかわからないけれどこの仕事にありつくことになった。
