起因する

＊be because of …　〜による。カジュアルなシーンでもビジネスでもよく使い、最も無難。
→She’s hurt because of you.
彼女はあなたのせいで傷ついているんだよ。

戦争により、何百人もの人が首都から避難した。

＊be due to …　〜による。ややかたい。カジュアルなシーンでもビジネスシーンでも使える。

パキスタンは氷河の融解により洪水が発生している。

防災訓練は、パンデミックのため縮小して行われた。

＊attribute AA to…　AAは〜を原因とする、〜に起因する。かたい表現。
→It’s easy to attribute his behavior to bipolar disorder.

＊contribute to …　〜の一因である、原因である。ややかたく、口語よりも文語寄り。
