稼ぐ

＊earn　稼ぐ。時間や気力、体力などと引き換えに稼いでいるニュアンスがある。
→How much do footballers earn?
　サッカー選手はどれくらい稼ぐの？
→Don’t ask people how much they earn a month!
　人に月収を聞くものじゃないよ！

＊make　稼ぐ。時間や気力、体力などが引き換えじゃなくても使える。多額のお金を稼ぐときもこの言葉が使える。多くの労働を伴わずお金を稼ぐ時に特に使う。
→How much do you make a month?
　あなたは月にいくら稼いでいるの？
→How can I make money quickly?
　どうやったら楽に稼げるかな？

＊get paid　稼ぐ。業務などを完了してからお金をもらうイメージ。
→How much did you get paid for that?
　それでいくらもらったの？
→I didn’t get paid, it was a volunteer work.
　ボランティアだからもらっていないよ。

＊gain　稼ぐ、得る。努力しなくても稼げているニュアンスがある。
→He gained so much from his parents’ inheritance.
　彼は両親の遺産で大量のお金を得た。
→How did you gain so much wealth?
