負ける

＊lose …　負ける。無難。試合や競争などで負けるという意味。
→Did we lose?
　僕たち負けちゃったの？
→She lost in the second match.
　彼女は2試合目で負けた。

＊be defeated　負ける（負かされる）。loseと比べるとやや大袈裟な感じがする。
→Why were they defeated?
　どうして彼らは負けたの？
→I feel so defeated.
　打ち負かされた気分だよ。

かぶれる

＊get/have a rash (from) …　〜でかぶれる、〜でかぶれている。
→You have a rash, what happened?
　かぶれてるよ、どうしたの？
→I think I got a rash from lying on the grass earlier.
　芝生で寝転がっていてかぶれたんだと思う。
