取り付ける、貼る

＊put on …　貼り付ける、つける。何かをものの表面につけるときに使う。
→I want to put on my skin cream.
肌用のクリームをつけたいの。
→Are we putting on make up?
お化粧する？

＊attach …　付着する、添付する。メールにファイル等を添付するときによく使われる。
→I’ve attached a file on this email.
このメールにファイルを添付しました。
→Please see the attached photo.
添付の写真を見てください。

＊stick …　貼り付ける、貼り付けてまとめる。物理的に貼り付けるときの他、概念的なものにも使える。また、stick to sbで人に忠実であるという熟語にもなる。
→I told you I’ll stick to you.
あなたの味方であると言ったでしょう。
→Can you stick these papers together? 
この紙をまとめてくれる？

＊fix …　取り付ける。取り付けて固定するときに使う。
→Let’s fix the bookcase to the wall.
本棚を壁に取り付けよう。
→We have to fix a plastic sheet over the shattered window.
粉々になった窓の上にプラスチックのシートをかぶせなきゃ。

＊mount …　取り付ける。絵や写真等を壁等の表面の「上」取り付けるときに使う。
→Can you see the lights mounted on the ceiling?
天井につけられた照明が見える？
→Let’s mount these photographs.
