＊be common　よくある。思考やあり方などがよくあるという意味。
→That is a common phenomenon.
　それはよくある現象だ。
→Divorce is so common in the States.
　アメリカでは離婚はよくあることだ。

＊be widespread　普及している。思考や病気などが広範囲にわたり普及している、蔓延している状態を指す。
→COVID-19 is more widespread in animals than we thought.
　コロナは、私たちが考えている以上に動物の間で蔓延している。
→The protest is widespread.
　デモが普及している。
