泊まる

＊stay …　泊まる。カジュアルでもオフィシャルの場でもどちらでも使う。
→Where will the president stay?
　大統領はどこに泊まるの？
→How long will you stay?
　どれくらいの間いるの（泊まるの）？

泊める

＊let … stay　〜を泊める、いさせてあげる。誰かを（主に自宅に）「泊まらせてやる」、「泊めてあげる」ときに使う。カジュアルでよく使う。
→Can we let him stay for the weekend?
　週末彼を泊めてもいい？
→Can you let me stay here?
　ここにいさせてくれる？

＊put … up　〜を泊める。誰かを自宅に短期間泊めるときに使う。カジュアル。
→We can put you up for the weekend.
　週末泊まっていいよ。
→I can put him up for a few nights.
　数晩だったら彼を泊めることができるよ。

＊accommodate…　〜を泊める、収容する。オフィシャルな場でも使える。
→The family will accommodate the refugees.
　家族は難民たちを（自宅に）泊める。
→How many people can room accommodate?
　この部屋は何人収容する・泊めることができるの？
