居る

＊be in　出勤している、在宅している。
→Is she in today? / She will be in tomorrow.

＊be here(there)　ここ（あそこ）にいる。万能。どんな状態でも（出勤、在宅などではなくても）使える。
→Can you stay here?
　ここにいてくれる？
→He’s sitting there.
　彼はあそこに座っているよ。

存在している、生きている

＊be around　存在している、生きている。
→I’ll be around for the next hour or so.
　あと一時間くらいはいるよ。
→He’s been around for nearly 7 years.
　彼はもう7年間くらいここにいるよ。
→Is your grandmother still around?
　おばあちゃんまだ生きている？

＊be present　存在している（ややかため）、現れる（ややかため）、しっかり生きている。
→You should take a moment to be more present in life.
　人生をもっとちゃんと生きるために、時間を作るべきだよ。
