浴びる

＊take a shower シャワーを浴びる。お風呂に入るという意味では使わない。
→Do you want to take a shower together?
一緒にシャワーを浴びる？

＊(take[have] a) bathe お風呂に入る、シャワーを浴びるという意味どちらでも使える。お風呂に入るという行為がよくある国や文化では「お風呂に入る」という意味になる。
→You wanna take/have a bath?
お風呂入る？（シャワー浴びる？）
→Sorry, I was taking/having a bath.
ごめん、お風呂に入ってた。（シャワーを浴びてた。）
→Did you bathe?
お風呂入った？（シャワー浴びた？）

＊come under fire 「戦火を浴びる」、「非難を浴びる」という意味。文語寄りだがよく使う。
→Ukrainians came under fire when they were evacuating.
ウクライナ人たちは、避難中に戦火を浴びた。
→The politician came under fire for his sexist comments.
政治家は、性差別的な発言で非難を浴びた。

＊bask in AA カジュアルだが、文語寄り。喜びをもたらすものを受け止めるイメージ。
→Let’s bask in the nature.
自然を浴びよう。
→The children got a full day to bask in the sun.
子どもたちは一日中太陽を浴びた。

＊be flooded with AA　AAを溺れるほど浴びる、溺れるように多量にあるイメージ。ポジティブなものにもネガティブなものにも使う。光を浴びるときには使わない。水の場合は、わざわざwith waterにしなくても大丈夫。
→Tokyo is flooded with advertisements.
東京は広告で溢れかえっている。
→Poland is flooded with refugees from Ukraine.
ポーランドはウクライナからの難民であふれている。

浴びせる

＊pour …　雨などが注ぎかける。showerよりも、注ぎかけられる物体が固体寄りのイメージ（資金、大量の湯水など）
→It will continue to pour in Tokyo.
東京では雨が降り続けます。

【番外編】pour into で多量の資金、努力などを注ぐという意味に。
→She poured thousands of dollars into her new company.
彼女は新しい会社に何千ドルも注ぎ込んだ。

＊shower …　注ぐ、（バラツキのあるものを）降らせる。雨にも使う
→The couple were showered with flowers.
カップルはフラワーシャワーを浴びた。
→Broken window glasses showered on the residents.
砕けた窓ガラスが住民たちに降りかかった。

＊bombard AA with questions　大量に、一気に質問を浴びさせる。
→I’m sorry for bombarding you with questions.
一気に質問してごめんね。

＊expose … 露出させる、浴びせる。通常あまり良くないものにさらされるイメージ。
→Residents are exposed to danger.
　住民たちは危険にさらされている。
