考える

＊think of[about]　AAについて考える、思う、意見を持つ。
→What do you think of my new dress?
　私の新しいドレスについてどう思いますか？
→I never knew you thought of me that way.
　あなたが私のことをそんな風に思っていたなんて、全く知りませんでした。
→I need to think of how to proceed this project.
　このプロジェクトをどのように進めるか考える必要があります。

～しようと考える

＊think of[about] doing …　～をしようと考えている。
→I’m thinking of checking out this bar in the weekend.
　週末にこのバーに行ってみようと思っています。
→We’re thinking of traveling together.
　私たちは一緒に旅行することを考えています。

よく考える、検討する

＊consider …　～を「検討」する。文字通り「検討」なので、ややかたい。「考慮する」や「みなす」いう意味でも使える。
→Can you consider the options?
　オプションを検討できますか？
→I consider her my best friend.
　私は彼女を親友だと思っています。

＊think … over　～についてよく考える。
→Would you give me some time to think it over?
　考える時間を少しもらえますか？
→I want to think it over before I give you an answer.
　答えを出す前に、よく考えたいです。

＊reflect on …　～を振り返る、～を省みる。
→We should reflect on our past mistakes.
　私たちは過去の過ちを振り返るべきです。
→I too often reflect on my schooldays.
　私もよく学生時代を思い返します。
