～していただろう

＊would have done …　今頃～していただろう、もし～していたら、～だっただろう。
→I would have been in Mexico by now if it weren’t for the pandemic.
　パンデミックがなければ、私は今頃メキシコにいただろう。
→I would have been happier now if I had asked him out that day.
　あの日彼に告白していたら、今頃私はもっと幸せだっただろう。
→She would’ve killed me if I had told her.
　もし彼女に伝えていたら、彼女は私のことを殺していた（※文字通りではない。ぶちぎれる、という意味でも使える）だろう。

～するべきだった

＊should have done…　～するべきだった。後悔。
→I should have started work earlier today.
　今日はもっと早く仕事を始めるべきだった。
→I shouldn’t have drank so much last night. This hangover is horrible.
　昨日の夜、あんなに飲まなければよかった。ひどい二日酔いだ。
→You shouldn’t have told her the news like that.
　彼女にニュースをあんな風に伝えるべきではなかったよ。
