＊be not so(very) …　そんなに～ではない。
→Do you like coriander? / Not so much.
　パクチー好き？・そんなに。
→I don’t have so much cash with me.
　手持ちの現金があんまりないの。
→I’m not so excited about that plan.
　私はその計画はあんまり喜ばしく思わないなあ。
→She’s not very kind with you.
　彼女はあなたに対してあまり優しくないね。

＊barely do …　ほとんど～しない。
→I barely understood what you said.
　あなたが言ったことをほとんど理解できなかった。
→He could barely hear us.
　彼は私たちの言ったことがほとんど聞こえなかった。

＊few　ごくわずかしかない。a fewは「いくつかの/2、３の」という意味になるが、fewだと「ごくわずかの」とやや否定的なニュアンスになる。
→Only few people wanted to go to the party.
　パーティーに行きたい人はごくわずかしかいなかった。
→I can give you a few recommendations.
　いくつかおすすめしてあげられるよ。
